What is the Yellow Wallpaper?
Short Story by Charlotte Perkins Gilman

The Yellow Wallpaper is a short horror story written by the American author Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Originally published in 1892 in response to being treated using Dr. Weir Mitchell's The Rest Cure, she offers haunting and poignant glimpse into the difficulties of postpartum and the associated treatments which transcend the limitations of her day.
This is a story of duality, liminality, and the profound change women experience as a result of childbirth.
